OUR PROCESS
Choosing a bridal hair and makeup artist is deeply personal, and we make it easy to get the look you want. You only have one chance to get the look right, and you want to look good (like really good)! Planning a wedding can be stressful. But booking your hair and makeup artists shouldn't be!
BOOKING YOUR DATE
The first step is to say hi, send us an email inquiring about the availability for your big day. To book, all we require is a signed contract and a deposit.
THE TRIAL
Your bridal hair & makeup trial is very important. Trials are typically 2 hours long and 2-3 months before your big day. This is where we'll have the time to discuss your vision and make the style come to life.
WEDDING DAY
On your wedding day, we'll travel to the location where you'll be getting ready. Our main goal is to make you feel confident, beautiful, and relaxed on your special day.
What is the difference between Airbrush Makeup and Traditional Makeup?
Both airbrush makeup and traditional makeup produce beautiful results. Airbrush makeup is a light mist that provides seamless coverage with a natural finish and offers a bond that will stay strong for up to 8 hours. We recommend airbrush for normal to oily skin and traditional for those with dry patches or excess hair.
As a bride, do I really need to book a trial?
While trials are not absolutely necessary, we highly recommend them. Allowing your stylist to get to know your preferences and build your look with you before the wedding day is the key to the perfect bridal look. Plus, you get to wear your hair and makeup to see how it holds, and decide on any adjustments.
Do you have a salon location we can come to?
Blush & Bangs is completely mobile. We travel on-site for all events. If you are looking to have a trial at the salon our stylists have studio locations in Oxnard and Santa Barbara. Details will be provided upon booking.
