Planning your wedding is a creative and fun process, but it can also be daunting with so many options!

Here are are top most Frequently Asked Questions to help you make the right decision.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT AND CONTRACT TO BOOK?

We require a deposit and signed contract to secure your wedding date. Our deposit is $250, $200 of which applies toward your final balance and $50 of which goes towards the booking fee.

CAN I BOOK A TRIAL BEFORE BOOKING MY WEDDING WITH YOU?

Absolutely! A hair and makeup trial can be booked separately and is charged at our à la carte rates which is $125 for makeup only or hair only and $250 for both. Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve the date and time with your particular stylist.

DO YOU HAVE A SALON LOCATION WE CAN COME TO?

Blush & Bangs is completely mobile. We travel on-site for all events. If you are looking to have a trial at the salon our stylists have studio locations in the Santa Barbara and Ventura areas. Details will be provided upon booking.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIRBRUSH MAKEUP AND TRADITIONAL MAKEUP?

Both airbrush makeup and traditional makeup produce beautiful results. Airbrush makeup is a fine mist that provides seamless coverage with a natural finish and offers a bond that will stay strong for up to 8 hours. We recommend airbrush for normal to oily skin and traditional for those with dry patches or excess hair.

AS A BRIDE, DO I REALLY NEED TO BOOK A TRIAL?

While trials are not absolutely necessary, we highly recommend them. Allowing your stylist to get to know your preferences and build your look with you before the wedding day is the key to the perfect bridal look. Plus, you get to wear your hair and makeup to see how it holds, and decide on any adjustments.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR GROUPS?

For groups with 10+ services (5 hair and makeups or 10 services total) we provide discounts. Send us an email with your event date and total expected number of services for a quote.

I'M NOT SURE YET HOW MANY BRIDESMAIDS WANT HAIR OR MAKEUP, IS THAT OK?

Final numbers for hair and makeup services are determined 4-6 weeks before the wedding. We are flexible and happy to adjust your invoice/contract as you figure things out, but a good estimate helps us with scheduling.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?

Travel fees depend on group size, event location, and availability and are on average $50-100. Please contact us for a quote.
